Trump Warns Hamas: “Disarm Yourselves — or I Will”
Washington/Gaza – President Donald Trump issued a stark ultimatum to Hamas on Tuesday, warning that the United States would take action if the militant group refuses to disarm under the newly brokered Gaza ceasefire agreement. “If they don’t lay down their weapons, we will disarm them,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “And it will happen swiftly and perhaps violently.”
The president’s blunt statement came amid conflicting reports that he had earlier suggested keeping Hamas armed for a transitional phase in Gaza — a claim Trump dismissed as “fake reporting.” He emphasized that Hamas must surrender all weapons and turn over the bodies of Israeli hostages still held in the enclave, declaring on his Truth Social account, “The dead have not been returned — as promised. Phase two begins now.”
The ceasefire deal, which Trump personally helped broker alongside Egyptian and Qatari officials, led to the release of the final 20 living hostages earlier this week. But tensions remain high as only eight of the deceased captives have been returned, leaving dozens unaccounted for. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to completely dismantle Hamas, while the group itself continues to deny Israel’s right to exist.
This footage is said to show a shooting of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by armed Hamas terrorists.
Meanwhile, chilling reports are emerging from inside Gaza. According to Reuters and the Jerusalem Post, Hamas gunmen have executed at least 33 Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel. Witnesses describe scenes of masked militants forcing alleged traitors to their knees before opening fire in front of gathered crowds. Videos circulating online show the executions accompanied by shouts of “Allahu Akbar,” underscoring a brutal effort by Hamas to reassert control and spread fear among its population.
Trump’s warning marks a new chapter in the fragile ceasefire — one balanced between the promise of peace and the peril of renewed violence.
