Exciting news to share! The Palm Springs International Film Festival has teamed up with Oak View Group, the world's largest developer of sports and entertainment venues, to expand its corporate relationships within and beyond the desert region.
The partnership is expected to open doors to new sponsorship opportunities for the festival with Oak View Group's extensive connections. This is a significant boost for the festival, which has grown into one of North America's most prestigious film events since its inception in 1989 by then-Palm Springs Mayor Sonny Bono.
Oak View Group operates over 300 venues around the world, including the 11,000-seat Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, which is home to the American Hockey League's Coachella Valley Firebirds, and a world-class performance venue that has hosted top artists like Sting, Peter Gabriel, The Eagles, Journey, and Lizzo. The Palm Springs International Film Festival will support Acrisure Arena and Coachella Valley Firebirds through mutual marketing as part of the partnership.
Dan Griffis, President of Global Partnerships for Oak View Group, expressed excitement about the partnership and the opportunity to assist the festival in cultivating new sponsorship opportunities as it continues to serve as a beacon for cinematic experience around the globe. He affirmed that Oak View Group is here to support both the people and events that are important to the residents of the Coachella Valley.
Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi also expressed delight about the partnership and the significant impact that Oak View Group is having in the Coachella Valley. He believes this partnership will bring greater awareness to the festival and exposure to the greater Coachella Valley.
Mark your calendars! The 35th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival will occur from January 4-15, 2024.
