Kataluna Enriquez Named Palm Springs Pride Grand Marshal
Palm Springs is gearing up for an unforgettable milestone celebration as history-making model, fashion designer, and activist Kataluna Enriquez steps into the spotlight as the Marsha P. Johnson Grand Marshal for the 40th Anniversary Greater Palm Springs Pride. Enriquez joins an electric, star-studded roster of marshals leading this year's parade, including National Grand Marshal Fortune Feimster, Celebrity Grand Marshal Cheyenne Jackson, Community Grand Marshal Gary Moline, and Pride Royalty for Life Marshall Pearcy (Dottie DuBois).
Named in honor of the legendary Stonewall pioneer, the Marsha P. Johnson Grand Marshal title recognizes visionary leaders who dedicate their lives to advancing trans visibility, equity, and liberation. Enriquez personifies that fearless spirit. A powerhouse Filipino American designer behind ‘KatalunaKouture’, she shattered glass ceilings in 2021 when she became the first trans woman crowned Miss Nevada USA and the first to compete in the Miss USA pageant in its 7-decade history. She took that momentum to the world stage at the 2024 Miss International Queen competition in Thailand, capturing international acclaim, three major awards, and a Top 6 finish.

Beyond high-profile campaigns for Ulta, Andrew Fitzsimons Hair, and MGM Grand—as well as national coverage from Good Morning America to People—Enriquez’s true impact shines through her grassroots devotion. As an abuse survivor, she channels her influence into mental health advocacy, youth empowerment, and combating intolerance across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. Her hands-on work reaches directly into Southern California, where she coordinates care and assists local business operations in Riverside, while continuing to dazzle audiences with vibrant drag performances at venues like Toucans, One-Eleven Bar, and Las Vegas hotspots Gipsy and Piranha Nightclub.
"Marsha P. Johnson paved the path for trans visibility, resilience, and liberation," said Ron deHarte, President and CEO of Greater Palm Springs Pride. "Kataluna Enriquez embodies that same transformative courage, using her global platform and community volunteerism to empower trans youth and uplift our entire community. We are honored to recognize her leadership alongside our incredible slate of 2026 Grand Marshals."
The energy culminates November 6–8, 2026, when downtown Palm Springs erupts in vibrant color and solidarity for the annual parade and festival, celebrating four decades of resilience, equality, and pride.
