DLNews Sports:
Coachella Valley Will Play Henderson Again Tomorrow Night at Acrisure Arena
The Coachella Valley Firebirds (@Firebirds), proud affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Seattle Kraken (@SeattleKraken), are gearing up for their first home-and-home matchup of the season as they begin with a contest against the Henderson Silver Knights at Dollar Loan Center. The two teams will rematch tomorrow night, and the game will take place at Acrisure Arena, the home of the Firebirds.
The Firebirds are looking to rebound from a 3-2 loss on home ice to the Tucson Roadrunners back on Tuesday night. Kole Lind and Andrew Poturalski each netted goals in Coachella Valley’s sixth regulation loss of the season. Tucson’s powerplay was the difference in the game, tacking on three powerplay goals. The final man-advantage tally came with less than one second left in the second period to give the Roadrunners a 3-2 lead, which they did not relinquish.
SEASON SERIES: The Firebirds have only seen the Silver Knights twice this season but are 2-0-0-0 against Henderson. Coachella Valley defeated Henderson in back-to-back games on December 2nd (1-0 W) and 3rd (3-2 SOW) at Dollar Loan Center.
TONIGHT’S MATCHUP:
Coachella Valley: 15-6-3-0 (33 points), 4th in Pacific Division
Henderson: 11-16-0-1 (23 points), 8th in Pacific Division
