DLNews Traffic:
Due to the expected rain and potential flooding from Hurricane Hilary, the City of Palm Springs is concerned about public safety and wants to prevent swift water rescues. To achieve this, city crews will close North Indian Canyon Drive, Gene Autry Trail, and Vista Chino at the wash starting at midnight tonight. These roads will remain closed until the floodwaters recede enough to ensure safe travel.
The Palm Springs Police Department has requested that residents stay indoors and refrain from driving on city roads during the storm for their safety. To ensure public safety, officers will be present at barricaded streets.
Residents can stay up-to-date on road closures and other storm-related events by signing up for City of Palm Springs Public Safety Alerts. To register, visit the "In The Spotlight" section on the website at www.palmspringsca.gov.
