Arenas Turns Up the Pride
Palm Springs’ 40th Pride celebration comes with a Thursday-night invitation: take over the street, find your friends and let the weekend begin early.
The Arenas District Walkabout arrives Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, turning Arenas Road between Indian Canyon Drive and Calle Encilia into a pedestrian gathering place filled with music, nightlife and opportunities to support local businesses. Organizers announce street festivities from 6 to 11:30 p.m., with several venue entertainment schedules continuing until 2 a.m. Friday. Street admission is free; individual shows and venue charges vary.
For residents and visitors, the appeal is wonderfully straightforward: a walkable evening of catching up, meeting people, shopping and choosing the next dance floor. The participating establishments, official Pride sponsors, are helping launch the anniversary festival weekend, scheduled for Nov. 6–8.
At Hunters Palm Springs, 302 E. Arenas Road, the music starts before the Walkabout. Resident DJ Devin takes the indoor dance floor from 4 to 9 p.m., followed by DJ Lalo from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Outside, three generations of pop music share the spotlight. POP ROYALTY, presented by Pulp Vixen and starring Jonesy Jones, celebrates the music of Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson and Prince from 7 to 9 p.m. The venue lists tickets at $15 through Eventbrite, with admission restricted to guests 21 and older with valid identification. DJ Ray Rhodes follows on the outdoor stage from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. That gives Hunters four scheduled acts across its indoor and outdoor spaces—and dancers several reasons to pace themselves.
Across the district, Chill Bar Palm Springs, 217 E. Arenas Road, launches four days of Pride entertainment, Nov. 5–8, with Dawna Montell performing Thursday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The celebration also introduces visitors to renovations under owners identified in the announcement as Randy, David, Justin and Steven. Guests can move among the main bar, indoor dance floor and large outdoor parking-lot stage.
Chill Bar’s announced weekend roster includes RuPaul’s Drag Race star Sasha Colby, recording artist Kristine W, and DJs Abel, Nick Bertossi, Glovibes, DJ Irene, Tony Moran, Corey Craig, Josh Peace, Gracy D, DJ Redspace and DJ Jeffery. Those names span the four-day celebration; the kickoff announcement does not assign each a performance time.
At Blackbook Bar and Kitchen, 315 E. Arenas Road, positioned in front of the main Pride stage, the weekend formula combines performers, DJs, cocktails and something substantial to eat.
Returning personalities The Prince Joshua, Jake and Christian Michael will be joined by Judas King, Jay Nova and special guests. DJ Scarlett BoBo also returns alongside guest DJs. Between dance-floor visits, Blackbook’s original PS-Style Nachos offer a food stop. The announcement credits the establishment with Best Bar and Best Restaurant recognition in Palm Springs Life and The Desert Sun, without specifying award years or categories. Individual performance times were not supplied.
Nearby, Dick’s Bar, 301 E. Arenas Road, promises a large outdoor party area and no cover charge, with indoor and outdoor DJs, drink specials, cold beer and food.
Streetbar, 224 E. Arenas Road, brings another milestone to the gathering: its own 35th anniversary. The longtime Arenas establishment will welcome Walkabout visitors throughout the evening, adding a familiar neighborhood stop to a night built around community.
With pop tributes, late-night DJs and five establishments within an easy stroll, Arenas is giving Pride an opening night with room for both a reunion and a new acquaintance. The parade can wait until Sunday. On Thursday, the first move is simply to walk onto Arenas Road.
