An Evening of Heart and Harmony: “Love is Love” Brings Cabaret, Connection, and Song to Cathedral City
Cathedral City, Calif. — Forget the predictable Valentine’s cards and candy hearts. This February, the spotlight turns to something warmer, deeper, and a little more soulful.
On Wednesday, February 18, The Roost Lounge will host The Roost Revue – Love is Love, a live cabaret-style evening that celebrates love in all its forms — romantic, platonic, chosen family, and everything in between.

Curated and hosted by local performer and producer Jason Mannino, The Roost Revue has quickly built a loyal following. Now in its seventh month, the monthly series is known for blending live music with personal storytelling and a relaxed, intimate atmosphere that makes audiences feel less like spectators and more like part of the show.
Rather than leaning into Valentine’s clichés, Love is Love aims for something more thoughtful and inclusive.
“Love isn’t a one-size-fits-all experience,” Mannino said. “This show celebrates the bonds we choose, the lives we share, and the music that carries those emotions. Whether you’re with a partner, a friend, or simply celebrating your love for live theater, this night is about the common thread that ties us all together.”
The evening will feature guest performer Seth Hampton, alongside local favorites Jeffrey Adair and Barbara Kerr. Musical direction is led by Kurt Jordan, who makes his Roost Revue debut. A graduate of Azusa Pacific University, Jordan’s eclectic background ranges from avant-garde piano works to collaborations across the Coachella Valley arts scene.
Together, the performers promise a mix of classic standards, contemporary songs, and heartfelt stories — equal parts humor, nostalgia, and soul.
