WHAT: Cleanup and Repair a DHS resident's home
WHEN: Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.
WHERE: The home of a 74-year-old disabled resident John Selph, 9777 San Simeon, Desert Hot Springs
WHY: As part of the city's effort to beautify homes and the city, the DHS Cleanup Committee has chosen Mr. Selph's home, after an extensive review process, to be the first owner-occupied home that we will assist in cleanup.
HOW: Mission Springs Water District (Marion Champion) will provide repairs to the evaporative cooler. Desert Valley Disposal/Palm Springs Disposal (Chris Cunningham) will provide large trash bins and pick up the debris. The DHS Cleanup Committee and volunteers from the College of the Desert Rotary will assist in the cleanup efforts.
