Christopher Spaulding was arrested after making a treasonous Facebook comment.
DLNews Crime:
With this action, he almost begged for his arrest ...
Actually, it all started innocently enough: The police from Rockdale County (US state of Georgia) published a "Most Wanted" list on Facebook. It showed the most wanted criminals in the region - and asked for tips from the public.
So far, so typical. But one Facebook user apparently felt that his honor had been violated. Not because he was on the list.
But because he was NOT on the list!
So in the comments under the Facebook post on the police page, the man named Christopher Spaulding asked, "What about me?"
Not really a good idea. The police responded, "You are correct; you have two warrants out for your arrest; we are on our way." And the handcuffs clicked!
According to the report, Spaulding had violated the terms of his probation. After the arrest, police wrote in a sarcastic tone, "We thank you for your assistance in the capture."
The "Most Wanted" list was compiled solely based on the severity of the charges, police added. And added, as a message to possibly more disappointed, "The fact that you are not on this list does not mean that our unit will not be looking for you should there be a warrant for your arrest."
