The Mexican from Veracruz was nine months pregnant when, on November 30, a woman on the Internet wanted to give her clothes for her coming child. But the seemingly generous offer was a trap laid by suspected baby robbers Verónica and Gonzalo N.

According to the police, the couple allegedly cut open Rosa's womb and stole her baby. The pregnant woman's parents filed missing persons report the same day, but by then, Rosa was dead.

On Saturday, investigators found her body with an open belly at a farm near Veracruz (population 428,000).

The trail quickly led to Verónica and Gonzalo N. At least one of their victims seems to have survived the crime: When they were arrested, the suspected killers had a newborn baby girl with them. The authorities assume that the little girl is Rosa's daughter. She is currently undergoing a medical examination.

Not the first cruel case in Veracruz!

In 2018, a young woman offered free children's clothes to Jenny Judith, who was pregnant then. But instead, the woman and a nurse cut open Judith's belly and stole the baby. Unfortunately, the pregnant woman did not survive the operation. Her child was later handed over to her relatives.
