ONE-PS - The Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs, in partnership with the Palm Springs Cultural Center, are pleased to announce a series of Candidate Forums to be moderated by Mark Talkington, editor of The Palm Springs Post.
The Forums will be held at the Palm Springs Cultural Center on Saturday, October 1st, and Sunday, October 2nd. Candidates for Palm Springs City Council, Districts 1, 2, and 3 will be featured, as well as the contested races for Palm Springs School Board, Desert Water Agency Board, and Desert Healthcare District that overlap with the City of Palm Springs. All eligible candidates will be notified about the forums at the close of filing on August 12th.
The Forums will feature questions from the community that has been reviewed and combined before the event and questions from the audience. In addition, questions are being solicited for all races via Questions@ONE-PS.org.
Tentative plans call for City Council races for District 3, and the other contested races to be held on Saturday, October 1st from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and City Council Races for Districts 1 and 2 to be held on Sunday, October 2nd from 1:00 to 4:00, both events to be at the Cultural Center.
