After separating and divorcing ex-husband Will Kopelman, Drew Barrymore seemed to have had enough of men and love and was enjoying her single life. But now the actress has revealed that she has ventured into the dating jungle and reports on her experiences.
"I'm not a person who needs sex. So a relationship with a man has long ceased to be a priority for me. Having two children and separating from her father made me cautious. I'm glad I was able to shift my focus when it comes to loving myself and my two daughters," Drew Barrymore wrote on her blog drewbarrymoreblog.com just a few weeks ago. After splitting from ex-husband Will Kopelman in 2016, the actress had other priorities.
Drew Barrymore is back on the dating market.
But now the 47-year-old seems to have changed her mind, revealing in a new episode of The Drew Barrymore Show that she's dating again. Speaking to her star guest Whoppi Goldberg, she says, "Because it's been so many years, I was starting to worry. I'm just too good at being alone." But she's found that dating isn't easy these days. So she tried it on dating apps and in "real life." But it hasn't been successful so far, and that's frustrating. "I feel like a loser. It's tough in real life, and it's tough on dating apps. It hurts you, but you keep trying," the actress said.
Drew Barrymore knows precisely what she wants when it comes to dating.
After the failure of her third marriage, Drew knows exactly what she wants and, more importantly, what she doesn't want. And getting married again is not one of them: "There is no reason to get married. I might live with someone again, but I also have children. And there's no way I'm ever going to get married again," she said on The Howard Stern Show last year. Barrymore has two daughters from his marriage to Will Kopelman, and the actress is very cautious regarding her children. "I have two young girls, and I don't want to bring people home. So it would be a long time if I met someone before I knew them well enough to introduce them to my daughters."
