The deadline to file your taxes is less than a month away, and if you haven't started working on yours, you're not alone.
A new report shows nearly a third of Americans wait until the last minute to file their taxes and California residents are the #5 biggest tax procrastinators in the US.
- Top Three: Nevada, Hawaii, Georgia
- California cities with the most tax procrastinators: San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose
- 32% procrastinate because they don't think they will get a refund, and 25% say the process is too complicated/stressful
- Nearly a quarter will receive a smaller refund this year compared to 2021
The report also shows that Millennials are the most likely to procrastinate filing their taxes compared to other generations. Half Americans don't know the tax deadline falls on a different day this year (April 18th).
