LAURA BENANTI PERFORMED IN FRONT OF 2000 PEOPLE
Suffering a miscarriage is a traumatic experience for many women. But when it happens in front of thousands of spectators, it's really cruel. But that's precisely what happened to U.S. star Laura Benanti (43) last week.
On April 3, the singer had a performance on a cruise ship. During her performance, a terrible incident suddenly occurred. On Instagram, she writes: "I was on stage in front of 2000 people while having a miscarriage. I knew it was going to happen. It started slowly the night before."
She suddenly felt pain while performing and stopped her performance for an hour. Fans, crew members, and her family would have touchingly cared for her.
She made no secret of her miscarriage in front of the audience, as she described on Instagram how the audience gave her strength. "Thank you for bringing me out of my grief in this sacred hour. Thank you to my band for unconditionally holding me in your hearts, and to the crew for working so hard to make me as comfortable as possible and being so gracious to my needs."
After only a short time, the brave actress was back on stage. Unfortunately for Benanti and her husband, Patrick Brown, it was their second miscarriage. "If it had been our first or second loss, I probably wouldn't have gone on. But unfortunately, I'm no stranger to the pain and emptiness of losing a pregnancy."
Laura Benanti and Patrick Brown have been married since 2015. With him, she has a daughter Ella, born in 2017, as well as Louisa, who was carried by a surrogate last year.
