An eyewitness told the broadcaster: "It lasted 10 to 15 seconds. He fired about ten bullets. There was nobody who could neutralize him."

The Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem is a Jewish holy site and attracts many believers.
A Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas spokesman, which rules the Gaza Strip, called the attack a "natural reaction to the arrogance of the occupying soldiers and Zionist settlers and their daily crimes against our people, our country, and our Islamic and Christian holy sites." He spoke of Israel's continued incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
About a week ago, Israel eliminated high-ranking terrorists in the Gaza Strip. In revenge, supporters of the group "Islamic Jihad" fired more than 1,000 rockets in the direction of Israel within a few days. The Iron Dome defense system intercepted most. A ceasefire was finally sealed last Monday.
In the spring, there was also a wave of terror in Israel. A total of 19 civilians were killed in the attacks. Three of the terrorists were killed.
