Rihanna at the press conference on Thursday.
DLNews 2023 Super Bowl Preview:
A mega mystery about Rihanna's appearance.
Pop star Rihanna (34) had invited to the big press conference before her halftime show at Super Bowl 57. Will she reveal details about the show? Will Rihanna perform alone? What does she say about the fact that she canceled the show four years ago? About 500 journalists had quite a few questions and almost burst into the PK room.
Presenter Nadeska Alexis didn't want to elicit anything from Rihanna, instead talked to her about life.
But answers were not forthcoming!
In a big PR show, Rihanna talked about her life as a mother, about her home in Barbados, and answered questions from two children. On the subject of the halftime show, however, it became thin. A classic wishy-washy performance, in other words.
After more than six years, a total of 2190 days, the pop star is performing again. "The stage at the Super Bowl is the biggest ever. Of course, you're in awe, especially when you haven't performed in so long. But it feels like it's only the moment for it now," she says.
Rihanna's outfit was an eye-catcher.
The only thing Rihanna wanted to reveal is: Her show will last 13 minutes. And 17 years of her musical career would have to be tamped down for the show. Therefore, there would have been 39 different sequences for her performance. Rihanna explained at the NFL PR appearance, "New song, different sounds, different guitar. A lot of things come together."
So there is a mega mystery surrounding the show!
Who will sing with her? What will be the first song, and what will be the last song? Questions over questions ...
The current favorite to appear as a co-star is rapper Jay-Z, followed by DJ Calvin Harris and Drake.
In terms of songs, "Umbrella," "Run This Town," "Don't stop the Music," "Diamonds," and "We Found Love" is way out in front.
Betting provider Betano even goes so far as to accept no bets for "Run this Town" as the first song.
