Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of "King" († 42), died three weeks before her 55th birthday.

Lisa Marie Presley inherited her father's big name and a fortune of around $100 million. However, in 2016 she slipped into debt.

Even Elvis Presley (who played his iconic concert "Aloha from Hawaii" on Saturday 50 years ago) was dependent on painkillers and tranquilizers (including Valium and Oxycodon) and addicted to comforting fast food. When his heart failed in the bathroom of his Graceland, Memphis home in 1977, nine-year-old Lisa Marie found him slumped on the carpet. At 13, she turned to drugs ("I did everything from heroin to crack.")

On Thursday, she also collapsed: heart failure in the bedroom of her luxury villa on Normandy Drive (Calabasas)!

January 14, 1973: Elvis at his concert "Aloha from Hawaii" - the first music show to be broadcast live! Around a third of the world's population is glued to the TV.

At 10:43 a.m., emergency services arrived and fought for her life for 34 minutes before Lisa was taken to West Hills Hospital. Mother Priscilla (77) prayed at the bedside, but her daughter died in an artificial coma shortly afterward.

Her death came suddenly - and yet it was a slow death. From the suicide of her son Benjamin († 27, who put a shotgun in his mouth in Mama's bathroom) in 2020, she never recovered: "My heart and soul went with you," she wrote on Instagram. Only her daughters Riley (33), Harper, and Finley (twins, 14) let her fight on.

But in her last appearances, Lisa Marie already seemed like a ghost.

On Sunday, Elvis' 88th birthday, she had declared in a weak voice in front of fans in Graceland: "Only you can get me out of the house."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lisa Marie Presley will be buried at Graceland - reunited with her beloved son and legendary father.

Marriage 1989–1994: With musician Danny Keough, she had a daughter Riley and a son Benjamin. He is said to have last lived with Lisa and revived her for ten minutes.

Marriage 1994-96: Lisa Marie with the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson († 50). She starred in his music video "You Are Not Alone."

Marriage 2002–2004: Presley to actor Nicolas Cage, who said of her death, "Lisa had the greatest laugh. She brightened up every room.”
