In the end, the 20-year-old gave herself bravely and mastered her life despite illness

She wanted to live, fought until the end, and documented her fight against cancer on Instagram. Not only her 982,000 followers had hoped for a miracle for Spanish influencer Elena Huelva (†20), but also, she herself.

Elena wanted to fight, but against incurable cancer, the 20-year-old could not.

But now there is the sad certainty: the fun-loving Spaniard has lost the fight against cancer. First, Elena died at the age of only 20. Then, in her teens, Elena was diagnosed with the rare Ewing's sarcoma. A form of bone cancer that occurs mainly in children and adolescents and is difficult to cure.

The 20-year-old seemed to suspect that her life would end when she was only 20. Barely three weeks before her much too early death, she shared a video saying goodbye to her fans.

 

Elena very moving: "No matter what happens, I know that my life was not meaningless because I fought and achieved what I wanted to achieve: to raise awareness about the disease. At the end of the day, it's about living and making memories, and I will take away many good memories with many wonderful people."

In her latest Instagram post, dated January 3, the Spaniard posted a photo of herself holding the hands of her loved ones. Underneath the words, "These have been tough days; they are getting more complicated."

Despite the severe illness, Elena's Instagram post is brimming with joie de vivre.

Her goal: is to educate about the disease and give hope to others affected! She posted pictures from the hospital, which show her weakened sitting in a wheelchair, and happy shots from Disneyland in Paris or the Spanish newspaper "Elle," for which the 20-year-old still modeled.

About Elena's death, the family informed all fans via Instagram. With the loving words, "Since this morning, Elena has been dancing and looking down on you from her star. Thank you for everything."
