A striking number of corpses are currently being reported in Chinese hospitals and crematoria - a wave of death is shaking the country!

The newspaper quotes an anonymous worker at the Dongjiao Funeral Home state crematorium saying: "We cremated 150 bodies [on Wednesday], a multiple of what was usual last winter." About 30 to 40 of the dead are said to have had Corona. And further: "We cremate them on the same day they are admitted."

Currently, 20 to 30 new bodies are to be admitted every day. Before, it was only four or five. This is because the crematoria run at total capacity from morning to evening.

Another problem: the Sinopharm and CoronaVac vaccines developed in China. They are less effective than mRNA vaccines from Germany and the USA.

In addition, although 90 percent of the Chinese have been vaccinated twice, there is a lack of booster vaccinations, especially among the older population. Only 40 percent of those over 80 have received a booster vaccination.

According to a study published in May, China's inadequate medical care could lead to 1.55 million corona deaths.

These dire fears now seem to be confirmed!

In plain language: China's leadership has failed to prepare the country for a time after Corona. It's not just the economy that's groaning. Much Chinese pay for it with their lives.

Chinese rebel against Corona policy

To get the corona infections under control, Xi Jinping resorts to harsh means - and has led his country into a corona dilemma: strict measures with permanent lockdowns, surveillance, and forced stays in camps for isolation are among the population now highly unpopular.

The Chinese want to get back to normal. Unusual: In an authoritarian country, the population suddenly takes to the streets to demonstrate against the Corona policy. Images from the World Cup in Qatar showing crowds without masks are said to have fueled the Chinese's displeasure.

The pride in the successful corona measures has long since given way to anger: everyone can go back to normality, just not us, according to many Chinese.

However, due to the new death figures, “back to normal” could be a long way off again.
