Rancho Mirage, Calif. – The Trauma Intervention Programs of Riverside County (TIP) is reaching out to the vibrant communities of the Coachella Valley, and Rancho Mirage is proudly leading the way. TIP, a well-established nonprofit with a 38-year history and a presence in over 200 cities across the United States, seeks compassionate locals to step up as volunteers. These everyday heroes will support our dedicated emergency responders in times of crisis.
In partnership with the city's sheriff and fire departments, Rancho Mirage is the first in the valley to welcome TIP's life-changing mission. In October, volunteers will undergo 37 hours of immersive training, equipping them with the skills to offer comfort and practical aid during some of life’s most challenging moments. Whether it’s comforting families after a sudden tragedy, helping victims of accidents, or supporting those shaken by unforeseen crises, these volunteers will be there when it matters most.
Magda Stewart, CEO of TIP Riverside County, beautifully captures the heart of the program: “For those who feel a deep calling to make a difference, TIP offers a unique opportunity to be there for people during their most vulnerable times. Our volunteers bring a sense of calm and support to those with nowhere else to turn in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy.”
The upcoming training session in Rancho Mirage is just the beginning. TIP plans to extend its reach throughout the Coachella Valley, ensuring more communities benefit from this essential support network.
For those ready to make a difference, training dates and more information can be found at TIPRivCo.org, by contacting Magda Stewart at 951-698-2453, or via email at MagdaCEO@tiprivco.org. The Coachella Valley is about to become even more caring and connected, one volunteer at a time.
