SEVEN PEOPLE SHOT DEAD IN CALIFORNIA
Half Moon Bay - There have been gun attacks in California again - two days after the bloodshed at a festival near Los Angeles. On Monday, seven people were killed in two attacks in Half Moon Bay, south of San Francisco.

Police initially said there had been 'only' a "multiple-victim shooting incident." Then, they said a suspect had been arrested, and there was no danger to the public.
According to authorities, four people were killed at a mushroom farm and three at a truck company on the city's outskirts. It was initially unclear how the two locations were connected.
The suspected shooter is a 67-year-old man, Sheriff Christina Corpus said at a news conference. The motive for the crime was not known, she said. However, she said the 67-year-old acted alone.
Television images showed officers taking the man into custody. Aerial footage also showed investigators gathering evidence at a farm with dozens of greenhouses.
We are devastated by today's tragedy in Half Moon Bay," San Mateo County Executive Dave Pine shared in a statement. "We haven't even had time to mourn the victims of the horrific shooting in Monterey Park. Gun violence must stop."
Just Saturday night, a 72-year-old man of Asian descent opened fire on people present at a dance hall in the Los Angeles area. The bloodbath in Monterey Park, where many Asians live, occurred during Chinese New Year celebrations. On Monday, another shooting victim died, bringing the death toll to eleven. The perpetrator was found dead on Sunday. According to police, the 72-year-old killed himself as police pursued the van in which he fled the scene.
In the U.S. state of Iowa, an 18-year-old shot two students and wounded a teacher at a school in the city of Des Moines on Monday.
