DLNews Pets:
The Palm Springs Animal Shelter warmly invites you to be a hero to our furry friends at our annual Clear The Shelter adoption event on August 17th and 18th, 2024. This is more than just an event; it's a vital lifeline for the many animals in our care, especially the larger dogs who desperately need forever homes.
In Riverside County, where euthanasia rates are tragically among the highest in the nation, our shelter stands as a beacon of hope. As a no-kill shelter, we're committed to saving every life, but our kennels are overflowing—often housing two to three dogs per space. The situation has never been more dire, so we need your help now more than ever.
We're thrilled to share that Silvercrest has generously covered all adoption fees for this event, so you can focus entirely on welcoming a new member into your family. There’s no cost to adopt—only the immeasurable reward of saving a life and gaining a loyal companion.
Whether you’re looking for a dog, a cat, or both, this event is your chance to make a profound difference. By adopting, you’re opening your heart and home to a loving animal and helping us create space for others who desperately need it.
Event Details:
- Dates: August 17th and 18th, 2024
- Location: Palm Springs Animal Shelter, 4575 E Mesquite Ave, Palm Springs, CA 92264
- Time: August 17th: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; August 18th: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Please join us in this critical mission to clear our shelter and give these deserving animals the second chance they’ve been waiting for. Together, we can reduce overpopulation, prevent unnecessary euthanasia, and ensure every animal finds the loving home they deserve. Let’s unite as a community and ensure no animal is left behind!
