Talk show legend Jay Leno (72) suffered severe facial injuries in a car fire. This is reported by the celebrity portal "TMZ." However, Leno told Variety on Monday, "I'm okay. It only takes me a week or two to get back on my feet."
The former "Tonight Show" host stayed at a garage in Los Angeles where his cars are kept on Sunday. Suddenly one of the cars caught fire.
As a source reports to the celebrity portal "TMZ," the flames burned the left side of Leno's face. However, his eye and ear are said to have remained unharmed.
The Tonight Show Star is now in a hospital that specializes in severe burns.
Leno would have performed in Las Vegas that same day. However, it was canceled due to a "serious medical emergency." Now the reason for the cancellation has become known.
