Kansas City's path to the Super Bowl
With 11 wins and six losses, the Chiefs qualified for the wild card round of this year's playoffs as winners of the AFC West. In the first playoff duel, Kansas City faced the Miami Dolphins. The Chiefs convincingly beat their opponents 26:7 and moved into the divisional round. There it was against the Buffalo Bills.
The second playoff game was an absolute slugfest. In the end, the Chiefs won 27:24 against Buffalo and are in the AFC Conference championship game for the sixth time in a row!
In the NFL semifinals, the Chiefs faced the AFC's number 1 seed, the Baltimore Ravens. A dominant Chiefs defense and fantastic play from Patrick Mahomes and star tight end Travis Kelce (34) led Kansas City to 17:10. After this game, the team can look forward to their fourth Super Bowl appearance in the Mahomes-Andy Reid era.
