The list of nominees to be considered for induction as part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2025 was announced today.
Bona fide rock artists Bad Company, Oasis, Billy Idol, Phish, The Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Soundgarden, Maná, Joy Division/New Order, Joe Cocker, and The White Stripes are included on the list of 14 performers to be considered for Hall of Fame induction this year, along with pop singer Mariah Carey and hip-hop pioneers Outkast.
A number of these artists are deserving of inclusion, particularly 1970s arena rockers Bad Company, British greats Oasis, rock 'n' roll founding father Checker, and groundbreaking English rockers Joy Division / New Order (note: in 2023, both Joy Division and New Order were nominated as one act for induction into the Rock Hall and that is the case again this year). I am also a big fan of Idol and wouldn't mind if he was welcomed in as well.
Visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Nominees page to learn more on all of the artists.
