DLNews Sports:
February 12, 2023, is the day: the Super Bowl will be played in Glendale, Arizona.
Which two NFL teams will compete against each other is far from known because the season has only just begun. But the NFL has already revealed a secret. And that's almost as important for the fans.
Megastar Rihanna (34) will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.
The official statement said: "Rihanna is a unique artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career. We look forward to working with Rihanna, Roc Nation, and Apple Music to bring fans another historic performance at The Halftime Show."
The Super Bowl Halftime Show featured musicians like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, who made history. Now the event is said to have been topped with Rihanna.
It's not the first time Rihanna has been set to perform at the world's biggest sporting event. In 2019, the singer revealed in an interview that she had turned down an offer because of the NFL's unfair treatment of quarterback Colin Kaepernick (34).
According to US media reports, the tech giant pays around $50 million annually for sponsorship, and the contract is expected to run for several years.
The halftime show is a rating hit and makes even non-sports people watch the Super Bowl.
And with a performance by megastar Rihanna, a few million more are likely to become hot fans of the football final...
