Music, Fireworks and Community Spirit Shine at “America, the Beautiful”
The San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra will once again light up the summer sky with its beloved annual outdoor concert, “America, the Beautiful,” on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. on the football field at San Bernardino Valley College. Conducted by Maestro Anthony Parnther, the evening promises a memorable celebration of music, patriotism, and community, capped off by a spectacular fireworks finale.

Now considered a cherished Inland Empire tradition, the concert continues to draw the Symphony’s largest audience of the year. Maestro Parnther noted that the event has become a true community gathering, bringing together residents from across the region to celebrate America through the unifying power of music.
The program will feature a variety of audience favorites, including selections from Broadway, classics from the American Songbook, traditional patriotic works, and several special surprises. Adding to the excitement, members of the San Bernardino Symphony Youth Orchestra and Overture Orchestra will perform at the beginning of the evening, showcasing the next generation of talented musicians.
The concert will culminate with Tchaikovsky’s dramatic and crowd-pleasing 1812 Overture, performed alongside a dazzling fireworks display that has become a signature highlight of the event.
Returning this year is another audience favorite—the record-breaking piccolo ensemble. In 2024, an impressive 192 piccolo players from across California set a world record while performing John Philip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.” This year, the piccoloists will return with hopes of breaking their own record.
San Bernardino Community College District Chancellor Dr. Diana Z. Rodriguez said the event offers a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together in celebration, pride, and unity through live music and shared experiences.
While the concert begins at 8:00 p.m., guests are encouraged to arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. to enjoy SUMMERFEST, San Bernardino Valley College’s annual community festival. Activities will include food trucks, local vendors, informational booths, children’s activities, campus tours, and more.
Symphony Board President Sonietta Martin Brown praised the annual event as a powerful reminder of music’s ability to bring people together and create lasting memories under the stars.
Assigned table seating is available from $20 to $100 per person, while general admission lawn seating is $10. Children under 12 are admitted free. Guests may bring blankets, low lawn chairs, and picnic baskets or enjoy the many food options available during SUMMERFEST.
San Bernardino Valley College is located at 701 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue in San Bernardino, with free, lighted parking available throughout campus on concert day. Tickets may be purchased online or by phone at (909) 381-5388.
