Sign-Up Now for Auditions on August 17 and 18

COACHELLA, Calif. -The Green Room Theatre Company Coachella Valley (GRTCCV), now celebrating its 16th triumphant season, is calling all talented actors to audition for an electrifying lineup of 2024/2025 season productions. With a legacy of excellence and a commitment to diversity, GRTCCV invites you to showcase your talents at their upcoming auditions on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with callbacks on Sunday, August 18, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Actor’s Equity and non-union roles offer competitive pay and welcome actors of all backgrounds to join their inclusive casts.

This season’s offerings promise to be nothing short of spectacular, featuring three unique productions that will challenge, entertain, and inspire:

- Black Butterfly, Jaguar Girl, Piñata Woman, and Other Superhero Girls Like Me by MacArthur Genius Award-Winner Luis Alfaro 

  GRTCCV is seeking five Latina actresses who can portray teenage girls aged 13 to 18. This bilingual touring production weaves together poignant and often humorous stories, poems, and scenes depicting the lives of young girls growing up in East Los Angeles.

- As You Like It In One Hour/Como Te Gusta En Una Hora, adapted from Shakespeare by GRTCCV’s Artistic Director David Catanzarite 

  Experience Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy in a thrilling, rapid-fire staged reading in English, Spanish, and the Bard’s original language. All roles are open to female-presenting and male-presenting actors, embracing the play’s themes of gender fluidity.

- Tony ‘n Tico’s Wedding, adapted from *Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding* by Artificial Intelligence Collective 

  In this licensed LGBTQ+ adaptation of the iconic Off-Broadway immersive experience, GRTCCV is casting both Trans and Non-Trans actors and a talented Deejay to bring this lively celebration to life.
