Joshua Tree Music Festival has been going on for more than 20 years. This May’s roster includes Grammy-winning blues artist Fantastic Negrito, the duo Moon Hooch, singer-songwriter Steve Poltz, and soul singer Madison McFerrin.

Joshua Tree Music Festival often includes on-the-rise artists before they hit the mainstream. The festival spotlights performers who later go on to achieve remarkable success. Past examples include Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Elle King, the Avett Brothers, Trombone Shorty, Ghostland Observatory, Brett Dennen, and John Butler Trio.

The festival also showcases talent from the local desert community. The May 2024 event features desert collective Mikey Reyes and the Feeling, Q.Varo, and Coachella-based duo Las Tias.
