In a flurry of activity, early voting has officially begun in California, and Coachella Valley residents are joining in. On Saturday, 29 counties, including Riverside County, kicked off early in-person voting for the 2024 general election, with eager voters lining up to cast their ballots.
More than 120 voting centers opened across Los Angeles, offering registered voters flexibility. Voters can now vote at any location in their county, regardless of residence. Voters can also return mail-in ballots, adding another layer of convenience to this year’s election process.
Statewide, Californians have already cast over 4 million early and mail-in ballots, signaling high early engagement. In the Coachella Valley, locals find getting involved easy, with vote centers strategically located and open for extended hours. And the numbers are expected to grow: additional voting locations are set to open over the coming days, giving even more voters the chance to participate ahead of Election Day.
With early voting well underway, Coachella Valley residents are embracing the opportunity to shape the future – a few days before the rest of the country.
