The country music world is mourning the loss of singer-songwriter Toby Keith, who passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024. He was 62.
Following is a statement posted on the artist's official website earlier today (Feb. 6, 2024), that reads in part:
"Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage."
Remembrances about the celebrated Oklahoma native who has sold more than 40 million records have filled social media since the news was announced earlier today. Over the course of his career, Keith scored a number of country music hits and held more than 300 concerts for American troops stationed overseas. Here are a few of the tributes to Keith.
