American Friends of Our Armed Forces (AFAF) is hosting its 16th Annual Marine Appreciation Golf Tournament. This special event honors 75 active-duty Marines from Twentynine Palms, Camp Pendleton, and Miramar, representing over 60,000 Marines stationed at these bases. Civilians and retired service members will join the event for a day of camaraderie and gratitude.

Participants will enjoy a hot breakfast, a round of golf at the renowned Classic Club, and a buffet luncheon. Top teams will receive trophies, and “closest to the pin” contests will award prizes. All golfers will receive unique participation gifts.

“This fundraising event pairs local golfers with area Marines for a day of appreciation and recognition,” said Don Hawley, tournament director and AFAF board member. “Active-duty military and civilians have an opportunity to connect and enjoy a world-class golf experience in a supportive community.”

The Annual Marine Appreciation Golf Tournament is hosted in collaboration with Classic Club’s charitable golf program and the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, whose generous support sponsors the luncheon.

AFAF is an all-volunteer nonprofit based in the Coachella Valley. It is dedicated to supporting the men and women serving in the armed forces.
