A Month of Flavor on El Paseo: Exclusive Tasting Series Kicks Off February 23
PALM DESERT, CA — Food lovers in the Coachella Valley have a delicious reason to circle their calendars. “Taste of The Shops on El Paseo” returns beginning Monday, February 23, 2026, launching a curated culinary series that runs through the end of March and serves as a flavorful prelude to Palm Desert Food & Wine.

Hosted by The Shops on El Paseo, this multi-week dining experience spotlights some of El Paseo’s most celebrated restaurants, each presenting a one-day-only, specially crafted menu created exclusively for its designated evening. These limited-time offerings promise inventive dishes, inspired flavor combinations, and thoughtfully paired wines and cocktails — items not found on regular menus.
The series begins Monday, February 23, with Porta Via, known for its modern California cuisine and refined yet relaxed atmosphere. Guests can expect fresh, seasonal ingredients and elegant presentations that have made the restaurant a longtime favorite along the avenue.

On Thursday, February 26, the spotlight shifts to Kitchen 86, the vibrant hotspot celebrated for its globally inspired comfort fare and decadent desserts. Kitchen 86’s participation is expected to deliver bold flavors and playful creativity.
Friday, March 13, brings coastal sophistication to the table with Shorebird, offering seafood-forward specialties and elevated classics in its stylish setting.
Then, on Friday, March 20, guests can savor authentic Mexican flavors at Mole, where traditional recipes meet contemporary flair.
Each evening provides diners the opportunity to explore new favorites, revisit beloved establishments, and experience a fresh take on desert dining in the heart of Palm Desert.
Located within the iconic El Paseo Shopping District at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, The Shops on El Paseo blend luxury retail with exceptional dining. The collection features upscale retailers including Athleta, Chico’s, Connie Roberson, Grayseful, Kyle X Shahida, LoveSac, Oliver Peoples, Ralph Lauren, Raymond James, Roche Bobois, Sarit, Soma, The Shade Store, Trestle, The Upper Crust, Vuori, and White House | Black Market, with RH and Warby Parker coming soon. Dining options throughout the district include California Pizza Kitchen, Daily Grill, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Kitchen 86, Mole, Porta Via, Shake Shack, Shorebird, and Winston Pies.
For residents and visitors alike, “Taste of The Shops on El Paseo” promises more than dinner — it offers a month-long celebration of flavor, creativity, and community in one of the desert’s most stylish settings.
