🌼🎶 Flower Power Hits Palm Springs! “Hair” Explodes Onto the Stage in a Groovy, Soul-Shaking Revival
If you listen closely along Palm Canyon Drive these days, you might just hear it — the distant echo of a tambourine, a guitar riff, and a chorus singing “Let the Sunshine In.”
That’s because Palm Canyon Theatre is turning back the clock — and turning up the volume — with its electric new production of Hair, the legendary rock musical that defined a generation and still feels wildly alive today.
Running February 6 through March 1, 2026, this isn’t just another night at the theater — it’s a full-on, bead-swinging, heart-pounding trip back to the Age of Aquarius.

Set against the turbulence of the late 1960s, Hair follows a “tribe” of free-spirited young people chasing love, identity, and meaning in a world rattled by war and protest. At the center are Berger (Scott Clinkscales), the magnetic rebel with a grin as big as the desert sky, and Claude (Noah Wahlberg), his thoughtful best friend wrestling with the reality of the draft. Add Sheila (Isabella Morrison), Hud (Steffon Martindale), Woof (Jackson Enzler), Jeanie (Katt Atkins), Crissy (Nicole Kennedy), and a fearless ensemble, and you’ve got a stage bursting with raw energy and emotional truth.
And those songs? Still instant goosebumps. “Aquarius.” “Good Morning Starshine.” “Let the Sunshine In.” The kind of music that makes you want to stand up, sway, and maybe hug a stranger.

Director Luke Rainey leads the charge with choreography by Tegr Powel and music direction by Steven Smith, while bold scenic and lighting design from J.W. Layne and projections by Nick Edwards give the show a vivid, modern edge. The result feels both retro and right-now — exactly what great theater should be.
Curtain times are 7 p.m. Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $46 for adults and seniors, $20 for students, with group discounts available. The box office can be reached at 760-323-5123 or online.
Bottom line? If you’re craving a night out that’s colorful, heartfelt, and joyfully loud, Hair is your ticket. Peace, love, and Palm Springs — all under one roof. 🌞
