Sally Hedberg, the mastermind curator of the Friends of Desert Hot Springs Library, has pulled off a real coup. We're talking none other than Greg Archer, the literary juggernaut who juggles being a bestselling author, a razor-sharp entertainment columnist, a book editor with the Midas touch, and a yoga instructor (because why not?). Oh, and let's not forget – a literary icon in his own right.

Mark your calendars! On Thursday, February 15, at precisely 1 PM, Greg will be gracing the Desert Hot Springs Library. He's not just coming to show off his flexible yoga moves. He'll present his novel, "Grace Revealed," a mesmerizing blend of memoir and family history that dives deep into one of history's most chilling chapters.

Ever heard of the time Stalin thought it would be a good idea to uproot over two million Polish citizens and give them an all-expenses-paid trip to Siberia, followed by an unexpected detour to Africa? Greg’s novel is your ticket to discovering this little-known historical tidbit while exploring his own Polish family’s saga.

Picture this: young Greg, growing up amidst a lively Polish immigrant family in Chicago, soaking up war stories over vodka shots and hearty Polish cuisine, all while dreaming of life inside the TV box a la "The Brady Bunch." Fast forward to a stint at Arizona State University studying journalism, several "aha" moments, and a miraculous sign involving a shattered picture frame during an interview with Ewan McGregor.
