Widely regarded as one of the most in-demand drummers in rock and roll history and the most recorded drummer in history, much of Hal Blaine’s notable work was as a member of the close-knit session band, “The Wrecking Crew,” where he played on over six thousand singles—41 of them landing at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Blaine recorded drums on over 35,000 songs, working with likes of The Beach Boys, Cher, Nancy Sinatra, and many more. In 2000, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2010, and in 2018, he received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
