Josiah Vargas shows off some of the day's receipts from his regular burger joint.
DLNews Staff:
Josiah Vargas claims to have been given thousands of dollars instead of a burger at a McDonald's drive-in. The lucky customer reports this in a TikTok video, which has now been viewed more than a million times.
A McDonald's employee put this bag in Josiah Vargas' hand.
The story goes like this: Vargas is sitting in his car, filming himself in front of his regular McDonald's. In his hand, a bag. But what's inside instead of his ordered Sausage McMuffin (a breakfast burger)? "Your damn day's receipts!"
With his cell phone, Josiah films into the bag. Clearly visible: several zip-lock bags with fat wads of bills. "That's a couple of thousand dollars right there," the fast food fan says.
"Why are you doing this to me? Why are you exposing me to a situation like this?" asks Josiah Vargas, addressing the McDonald's absent employees. "I know how bad I want that money." He then walks back into the store in bathroom slippers.
As he places the cash bag on the counter, Vargas asks the stunned employees, "Are you laundering money here or what?" After a brief shock, the McDonald's employees are so happy that the receipts are back that they hug the customer.
After a camera cut, the open finder is presumably sitting at his home. He says, "On the way back, they called me and told me they were giving me $200." To TikTok users, Vargas gives, "Do good, people."
According to him, the bag had 5000 dollars in addition, the burger hero is allowed to eat for free in the McDonald's restaurant for a month.
