About: The Mojave Desert Land Trust is partnering with Mil-Tree to host a free guided nature walk in honor of Veterans Day. The event is open to veterans, active-duty members, their families, and the general community. The walk will take place in MDLT’s Mojave Desert Discovery Garden and will promote the healing powers of gardening, native plants, and nature. RSVPs are required as numbers are limited. Mil-Tree’s mission is to end veteran isolation by creating a community between veterans, service members, and civilians through shared experiences, projects, and creative expression.
MDLT is a non-profit that protects natural, scenic, and cultural lands in the Colorado and Mojave Deserts. They've conserved 120,000 acres and established a seed bank and onsite nursery. MDLT also educates and advocates for desert conservation. For more information, visit mdlt.org.
