Teacher Angel Footman (23) allegedly organized a fight club in the classroom.
DLNews Education:
Welcome to Fight Club! The first rule of Fight Club is, "You don't say a word about Fight Club!"
Wedges were in the Griffin Middle School classroom in Tallahassee, Fla.
This famous quote comes from the 1999 cult film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.
It has been similar at Griffin Middle School in Tallahassee, Florida. US media reports show teacher Angel Footman (23) encouraged fights among sixth-graders. Only in America!
Videos show teachers while fists fly.
Mad: Apparently, there were only three rules that the participants had to follow. Fights were only allowed 30 seconds, yelling was forbidden, and cell phones had to stay in their satchels or pockets.
At least the latter didn't quite work out. Because: when school administrators summoned Footman to the office, the educator initially denied everything. But the administration had videos of the beating; after that, the 23-year-old was admitted to the classroom wedges.
Especially since further denial would have been pointless: the footage shows Angel Footman sitting at her desk, according to the media reports. While fists fly next to her, the teacher admonishes the participants not to pull each other's hair.
Students were able to arrange rematches.
The students could arrange rematches at the flailing, which took place during school hours. For her Fight Club, Footman was kicked out of school in late March - some of the sixth-grade girls had ratted out the thrashing.
On April 7, Tallahassee police arrested the woman, and she is serving time in the Gadsden County jail. Angel Footman faces charges of four counts of solicitation of a minor to commit a crime shortly. Investigators asked the parents of the students involved to submit additional evidence.
The defendant denies any guilt. However, some girls have already testified to the police against their former teacher.
