MMA is a competition team; they travel around the globe with their martial arts program; they help the youth in our desert community to experience new countries, cultures to develop incredible friendships worldwide through 2020 and 2021.
Four young local female athletes fought through a world pandemic and put their minds to something that meant a whole lot to them to be at 'The 2021 Bulgaria World youth pankration Championships'. It's the youth Olympics for cage fighting. All four girls competed in the Florida National tournament earning them the right to represent the United States of America on the great Stage memories they can carry for a lifetime.
Andrea Frisque 16 yrs. Old:
Black belt in two Martials disciplines', blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, 2019 National pankration champion, 2019 2nd place World Championships Italy. Andrea is a 4.0 Honors student, high school wrestler and looked up to by all in her community.
Hannah Wagstaff 14 yrs. Old:
Purple-belt MMA Advanced yellow Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, 2nd place 2019 National Championships, Northern California Pankration champion, 2x Naga expert grappler champion. Hannah is a 4.0 honors student.
Irann Orozco 16 yrs. Old:
Yellow-belt MMA 4 stripe white belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Irann competed in the 2021 National Championship tournament for her 1st ever fight and took 2nd place, earning her the right to fight for Team USA. Irann is looking to join the military once she graduates.
Allison Enos 16 yrs. Old:
Yellow-belt MMA 3 stripe white belt Jiu-Jitsu. Allison fought her very 1st fight in the 2021 National Championship tournament taking 2nd place and earning the right to fight for the United States in Bulgaria.
Their Sensei Eddie Bates created a 'Gofundme' (https://gofund.me/d475caa1 ) account to help with airfare, passports, Covid test, food, travel, and lodging costs. Please help donate; you will help these female athletes make memories they will carry for a lifetime. The four will be leaving for Bulgaria on July 27th, 2021, Gofundme will end on July 24th.
