The city that never sleeps has a new trend: dogs in Halloween fever! At the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Festival in New York City, the city's furry residents come together to show off their best Halloween looks.
At Saturday's 33rd parade, 15,000 people, many with dogs, came together to celebrate the Halloween costumes of their plush friends.
Several Pomskys (a mix of Pomeranian and Husky) have fulfilled every girl's childhood dream: to be Barbie!
A Barbie costume should be present in keeping with the movie hit of the year.
(Almost) serious art connoisseurs were also represented at the dog parade: This furry snout expressed his love for the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo:

As “Pookah, the Bear,” the little Pomeranian won the award for the best costume of the year.
This year's winner of the quirky spectacle was "Pookah," a Pomeranian who appeared in a cute costume as "Pookah, the Bear." He was wearing a red sweater and holding a pot of honey in his paw.
This year's Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Festival was indeed WOW!
