Caitlin Jensen suffered a stroke at the chiropractor and, consequently, a heart attack.
DLNews Health:
Caitlin Jensen (29) just wanted to do something about the back pain. But a visit to the chiropractor changed the American's life forever.
Caitlin uses a wheelchair.
In chiropractic, spinal and skeletal system symptoms are mainly treated with particular hand movements. Although the type of treatment is controversial, in some parts of the world, chiropractors are not a state-recognized profession.
Caitlin, who her family said was ready to live the American Dream, suffered a stroke while in therapy, resulting in a heart attack. On June 16, 2022, Jensen was driven from the practice to the Memorial Hospital in Savannah (Georgia) in an ambulance. Again, an emergency operation saved the life of the studied biochemist.

But the 29-year-old is still paralyzed today. At first, Caitlin Jensen could only communicate with questions by blinking, raising, or lowering a thumb. Now she has a voice computer.
Caitlin's family shared the tragic story on the Gofundme fundraising platform. It says: "As a college student with fundamental health insurance, it will take much money to start the path to recovery." So far, around 170,000 Dollars has been raised.
But that's not the only good news. As the Jensens report, "God had sent his angels in the form of a kind-hearted couple." The couple offered to buy a house for the patient.
The property had to be made barrier-free. There were many helping hands during the renovation. For example, the tiles for the wheelchair-accessible shower were donated, while other friends donated wallpaper and paint for painting.
The family now lives in the renovated home. First, Caitlin Jensen gave a local news station a room tour in her wheelchair. Then, using a voice computer, the fighter said, "I'm just happy to be alive."
