The Palm Strings Health and Wellness Run Festival occurred on Saturday, the 25th. Hundreds of eager runners gathered to compete in the USATF-certified 10K, 5K, and fun run. Participants traveled from all around the area for this special occasion. Now in its 11th year, the event has introduced a new bike ride for added enjoyment and excitement, offering another activity for attendees. This festival has evolved into a world-class event.

It indeed promotes wellness, featuring vendors dedicated to good health. Local health organizations showcased products designed to enhance well-being. One booth had doctors available to answer health-related questions. Another vendor distributed free items and brochures on nutrition. Lifestream brought in a large truck for blood donations and sign-ups. Additionally, another vendor provided free blood pressure checks, testing, and vaccinations.

Vendors offered items for children and even family pets, covering all aspects of wellness. Warm-up exercises were conducted on a large stage prior to each run. Extra fun activities for runners, their families, and guests included a rock climbing wall and an exhibit featuring a ribbon artist on a pole. If interested, attendees could enjoy a complimentary massage, and sore muscle creams were available. The event took place at Ruth Hardy Park in Palm Springs.

Runners were announced as they crossed the finish line, and medals were awarded to those who completed the races, along with their finishing times. Medals were presented to both men and women across various categories. Like any successful event, it requires the support of numerous organizations and volunteers. Local health and wellness facilities and organizations played a significant role in the festival with their vendor booths. Hocker Productions produced the event.
