DLNews Staff:
After more than two years of the ice age, Prince William (40) and Duchess Kate (40) appeared side by side with Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (41) for the first time on Saturday.
Outside the gates of Windsor Castle, the former "Fab Four" took 40 minutes to shake hands, receive flowers and consider condolences for the Queen († 96).
The four royals haven't been seen so close together for a long time.
A few months ago, that would have been unthinkable! When Harry and Meghan appeared for the Queen's 70th jubilee in June, the brothers should not have looked at each other.
She knows her way around the world of aristocracy: Oprah Winfrey has interviewed royals Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson and Queen Rania of Jordan.
Above all, Harry and Meghan's racism allegations in the scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey (68) in early March 2021 finally sealed the break between the two.
But of all things, the TV personality is now involved in a family dispute.
Speaking to Extra magazine, Oprah said, "I believe that when all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of burying their dead, there is a way to create peace."
She experienced this in her own family when her father died in the summer. Oprah explained that anyone who has faced "challenges" with their sister-in-law or siblings knows how tricky such situations can be. "I'm sure the royal family is no different." However, the talk show host clarified: "I do not interfere in family matters." She only wanted to reveal so much: she hoped for reconciliation with the royals.
According to "The Telegraph," Duchess Kate is said to have given a gentle hint in this direction to a person at a meeting with Harry and Meghan in front of Windsor Castle: "In times like these, you have to come together."
So the loss of Queen Elizabeth gives hope that Prince Harry and Prince William will find each other again, at least a little bit.
However, whether Meghan and Harry will stay in London for a reconciliation talk is unclear. Her children (3 and 1 year old) are still in California.
