Armed Soldiers in Demilitarized Zone North Korea
Tensions on the Korean peninsula continue to rise after the launch of a North Korean spy satellite!
Kim Jong-un shows himself warlike as a strategist in front of an oversized map.
North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un (39) has ordered his armed forces to respond to any "provocation by the enemy" (meaning the USA), the propaganda media reported on Friday.
In other words, Kim has given the order to shoot at his borders - heralding a further phase of escalation. South Korea responded to the North's increasing provocations on the same day with new sanctions against the Stalinist Kim dynasty.
Kim has his soldiers armed in a demilitarized zone
Given the growing tensions, South Korea has suspended tourist visits to the demilitarized zone (DMZ) between the two Koreas, said an official in Seoul.
Explosive: Local media report that North Korean soldiers in the "Joint Security Area" (JSA) within the DMZ are once again carrying firearms after the North withdrew from the inter-Korean military agreement - an insult to the South and its most important ally, the USA.
The government in Pyongyang had previously announced that it would strengthen its armed forces and station new weapons along the border with the South.

Propaganda meeting with daughter
During a visit to the North Korean Air Force command on Thursday during "Airmen's Day," Kim presented guidelines for improving the military's combat readiness, reporting to his news agency "KCNA."

"He laid operational and tactical guidelines to immediately and forcefully counter any military provocation and threat from the enemy." He then visited a fighter squadron whose pilots completed a demonstration flight. Kim, accompanied by his daughter Ju-ae, praised the Air Force again. It was "fully prepared to carry out its air combat missions perfectly under all adverse conditions," the KCNA report said.
The USA and its allies have strongly condemned the first successful launch of a spy satellite by the North as a violation of several UN Security Council resolutions.
Kim seems unimpressed: North Korea announced further satellite launches and described this as exercising its right to self-defense. The situation continues escalating - a diplomatic détente looks out of the question.
