"It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that my husband Stephen has left us."
Hollywood cries for DJ, choreographer, and TV producer Stephen "tWitch" Boss. The father of three was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room. He was only 40 years old.
When his wife, Allison Holker Boss (34), confirmed to People magazine on Wednesday that "tWitch" was dead, hardly anyone could believe it. On the outside, he always seemed cheerful and happy and was a great role model for many people.
His grandfather Eddy, 84, told the Daily Mail that there were "no signs" before his death. “He was the same happy person he always was. He was a very humble, generous man. He brought light into everyone's life. We are completely devastated at the moment.”
The 40-year-old was most recently the producer of the show by talk show legend Ellen DeGeneres (64) and put a smile on the faces of so many fans with his dance videos on the Internet. In addition, he just celebrated his 9th wedding anniversary with Allison, the love of his life and mother of his three children, Zaia, 3, Maddox Laurel, 6, and Weslie Renae, 14, from a previous relationship with his wife, adopted by him.
“Stephen lit up every room he walked into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else," his widow recalls with a heavy heart. "He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."
Before his death, his wife alerted the police.
But DJ Stephen "tWitch" Boss apparently had a side that no one knew about. According to the Los Angeles coroner's office, the 40-year-old took his own life.
Before her husband was found dead around 11:15 a.m., Tuesday in a room at the Oak Tree Motel in Los Angeles, a 15-minute walk from his home, his wife Alison reportedly alerted police. Because he left the house on Monday without his car, which was very unusual for him, reports "TMZ." And because he didn't come back overnight either.
Then the shock: When paramedics were called to a medical emergency at a hotel in Los Angeles on Tuesday, they found Stephen there. Dead. With an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to the Daily Mail, a maid discovered his lifeless body.
"I'm sure not a day will go by that we don't honor his memory," said his devastated wife, Allison. "Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you."

"My heart is broken," writes talk show legend Ellen DeGeneres on Instagram for a photo in which she hugs her guest DJ, producer, and sidekick. "tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him."
"It broke my heart to learn of the death of Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, whom I helped through my Let's Move! Initiative over the years. And got to know visits to the Ellen Show," says Michelle Obama (58). "Stephen was an incredible force - someone who radiated kindness and positivity and made sure those around him felt it too. We felt his spirit in every dance, every DJ set, and every piece of creativity he brought to life. My condolences go out to his wife, Allison, and their three children, Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”
"The dance community has lost a good person," mourns "Let's Dance" star Motsi Mabuse (41). "Rest in peace. I'm so sorry, Allison. God bless you and the children. Thank you for the countless hours of joy you have shared with us.”

We pray for comfort for Allison, the children, and the family. We must treat everyone we meet each day with kindness and love. You just never know..."
