DLNews:
We're excited to share that the Riverside County Department of Veterans' Services is relaunching its outreach efforts to serve veterans in our community better. We understand that it can be difficult for veterans to navigate the various benefits and services available, so we're committed to providing free assistance with everything from disability/pension claims to education and healthcare benefits.
To make our services more accessible, we'll visit two locations each month: the Mizell Center in Palm Springs on the second Wednesday of every month and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2987 in Blythe on the third Wednesday of every month. Our county veteran service officers will be available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on those days to answer questions and provide assistance.
We're also happy to offer phone support through our Indio branch office at 760-863-8266, where veterans and their family members can schedule appointments or walk in for help.
We understand that COVID-19 has made it challenging to provide in-person assistance, but we're excited to expand our outreach efforts with the help of the Mizell Center and VFW Post 2987. By working with local agencies and the community, we're confident that we can offer comprehensive services and reach more veterans in need.
We're committed to supporting veterans and their families and are grateful for the opportunity to serve the west end of the valley and the Palo Verde Valley. Thank you for your service.
