The electorate punishes Joe Biden in a survey: 73 percent think he is too old.
DLNews Election 2024:
And this Republican Lady candidate is doing better in the race against Biden than Trump?
America's Democrats had hoped that the judiciary would deal with Donald Trump (77). Now they realize that they need a promising candidate themselves.
US President Joe Biden, seeking re-election in 2024 despite being 80 and not particularly fit, seems like a discontinued model. A CNN shock poll provides data: Virtually ALL Republican candidates would beat him!
'Alarm bells are ringing. In the White House and with the Democrats.'
The Republican Nikki Haley is furthest ahead of Biden.
In a surprising turn of events, Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, who previously served as the governor of South Carolina and the United States ambassador to the United Nations, currently leads in a hypothetical match-up against incumbent President Biden. The lead is significant, with a six percent advantage over the current president, bringing Haley's support to 49 percent compared to Biden's 43 percent. It's worth noting that Haley has the most significant lead among conservative candidates, with Trump only one percentage point ahead in the polls. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is tied with Biden, while former Vice President Mike Pence holds a two-percentage fact lead over the current president. Haley, therefore, appears to be Biden's biggest fright! Her problem, however, is that it is not expected that she will be able to beat top favorite Trump – despite all the accusations.
Biden after he arrives in New Delhi ahead of the G20 summit this weekend.
The Democrats' dilemma is that their candidate currently seems to have no chance. And that around a year before election day (November 5, 2024).
Other aspects of the poll gossip are also devastating for liberals: Only 39 percent of US voters are currently satisfied with Biden's administration. These are similar lows to those reached by Trump during his turbulent time in office. The trend is also alarming: Biden's popularity was 45 percent at the beginning of the year.
Nikki Haley, the former US ambassador to the UN, is considered a surprise in the election campaign.
Why is the Democrat on the ropes? His age-related, elderly office style seems to be one of the most valid reasons: 73 percent of those surveyed are concerned that his age "hurts his physical and mental performance." You can see this every day: his gait is stiff, his speeches are difficult to understand, and there are always the same anecdotes in between.
Vice President Kamala Harris said She is ready if Biden is no longer fit to hold office.
Even current Biden loyalists have their nerves on edge.
Even loyal Biden defenders are bursting their collars: "Who would give a grandpa like that a stressful job for the next six years?" said CNN commentator Van Jones. Political controversial issues are eating away at Biden's popularity, including the immigrant chaos at the border with Mexico and the high cost of living. Scandal's son, Hunter Biden (53), is becoming more and more of a burden on his father's leg.
Because of Biden's frail condition, Vice President Kamala Harris (58) is in the spotlight. She would succeed him if the commander-in-chief could no longer hold office. She said she was "ready" as a possible commander-in-chief in an interview. But she is just as unpopular as her boss.
There are rumblings in the party: more and more Democrats want alternatives to both! But the Democrats are slowly running out of time. They could start the 2024 election year with a hopeless duo...
