Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has ordered something ... on Amazon? -not likely.

Palma de Mallorca (Spain) - On April 6, Jeff Bezos' brand new super yacht "Koru" began its maiden voyage from the Netherlands to Gibraltar. Now the customized luxury boat is anchored in the bay of Palma (Mallorca).

The latest achievement of the Amazon founder breaks all records: With a length of 127 meters, the "Koru" takes the crown for the largest sailing yacht in the world. According to reports, the luxury liner cost $500 million or more.

Even from a distance, it's hard to miss: At 127 meters, the "Koru" is the world's longest sailing yacht.

Bezos' mega-yacht features an XXL pool on the aft deck, a seating area on the bowsprit (the mast that juts forward at the top of the ship), and several areas for relaxing on her three open decks. The ship, which also has a movie theater and meeting rooms, can accommodate up to 18 guests with a crew of about 40.

The mega yacht has a super yacht as a support vessel.

In addition, the 127-meter sailing yacht is accompanied by a 75-meter-long dinghy, a so-called "shadow yacht." These dimensions alone are beyond the scope of a typical ship. It is the largest auxiliary vessel, can accommodate 45 people on board, and has a helicopter hangar and storage space for jet skis and other water toys.

The name "Koru" is derived from the Māori language and means "new beginning." At the turn of the year, Bezos published an Instagram post referencing "Koru" and its symbolism, emphasizing the importance of personal growth, renewal, and rebirth.

It is believed that the exterior of Bezos' new mega-yacht, with its unique three-masted design, is based on the Black Pearl from the Disney classic "Pirates of the Caribbean."

In addition, it is speculated that the "Koru" was designed to cross the ocean without a single drop of fuel. The three carbon masts could be rolled in and set at the push of a button. In other words, over 2900 square meters of sail could be fixed by just one person in a matter of moments.
