DLNews Entertainment:
"He comes. They go."
For some stars, the takeover of power by Elon Musk (51) from the Twitter group means the final end of the popular news service. The planned course of the Tesla billionaire and his recent strange decisions make the camel overflow for many a celebrity.
Top model Gigi Hadid (27), for example, settles accounts with the social media platform: "For a long time, but especially with the new leadership, Twitter is becoming more and more of a cesspool full of hatred and bigotry, and it's not a place I go any further wants to belong." Hadid responded to a tweet in which a Twitter employee reported her resignation.
Hadid responded to this tweet by the dismissed employee Shannon Raj Singh with her angry message on Twitter.
Hadid did not write her comment on Twitter but on Instagram. Because she has already deleted her profile, as she writes. And it wasn't just for her that it tweeted out.
Singer Sara Bareilles (42, Brave") did the same for Hadid. Her last tweet: "I'm out. See you on other platforms, folks."
Singer Tony Braxton no longer feels safe on Twitter.
"Bridgerton" creator Shonda Rimes (52) also has no desire for Musk: "Whatever Elon has planned, I will not participate. Goodbye,” she tweeted in farewell.
In 2017, Amber Heard and Elon Musk were a couple.
And actress Amber Heard (36) seems to have deleted her account at once, although it is unknown why. But at least she was with Elon once...
With multi-billionaire Musk (the wealthiest person in the world), there is a new boss at the top of Twitter. The Tesla and Space X founder bought the company for $44 billion, intending to introduce more freedom of speech and expression. An idea that worries left-wing critics in particular. They fear more hate and radical sentiment. Their opponents argue that they are only afraid of losing sovereignty on the platform - and that Twitter, for example, has never done anything about the hatred of Iran's dictator.
Grammy winner Toni Braxton (55) is "shocked and appalled by the 'freedom of speech" that has prevailed on the platform since the takeover. "Hate speech under the veil of free speech is unacceptable." This is why Twitter is no longer a safe place for Braxton, which also applies to her children and "people of color."
What Twitter looks like in the future under Musk's care is yet to be foreseeable. But in the first few days after the takeover, things were brewing.
Elon Musk carries sinks to Twitter headquarters.
Musk raised eyebrows with questionable tweets. As a result, essential advertisers such as Volkswagen ended their cooperation. Allianz also wants to withdraw from Twitter.
Musk also fired thousands of employees. And now, apparently, rowing back again. According to Bloomberg, the company is said to be asking some employees who have been fired to come back.
Pure chaos in the Twitter service, which could possibly drive even more celebrities to flee. Who else is following suit?
